We are having a great time in Rome! You know what, this is so not fair! These words are being typed by Jason (Carol’s son) against his will I might add. However, you’re probably not interested in that so I’ll give you just the facts. We arrived in Rome. The plane ride was long and tedious but Carol apparently really enjoyed it. So, we arrived in Rome and had no idea where we were at all. After some very quick thinking on Jason’s part with some assistance from Joe while Carol guarded the luggage, we found a vehicle with a driver who drove us to our hotel. Rome certainly is a very old city, complete with 2000 years of graffiti. We then went to our hotel and promptly crashed for 2 hours after being up for over 25 hours straight. We then went for a great hike in the city and took many pictures as you can see. (See Exhibits A to H). Carol tells me that she nearly became a Catholic after we visited the Basilica di S. Maria Maggiore. It was very beautiful and incredibly…. Carol says “spiritual” and I say “decorative“.  Oh yes, and we also saw the coliseum and had an authentic Italian pizza (Picture included for Angel). Day 2 is tomorrow which is technically today, but that’s a technicality which you probably really don’t want to know about it.  Love to all and to all a goodnight! –
